What time is check-in and check-out at The Galt House Hotel?
Generally there is a 3:00PM CHECK-IN AND AN 11:00AM CHECK-OUT.

Is early check-in or late check-out available?
Yes! Depending on availability, early check-in and late check-out may be available upon request for an additional fee.

What is your cancellation policy?
The Galt House Hotel has a 48-hour cancellation policy. 

How much is parking at The Galt House Hotel?
There’s plenty of space! We offer a two-to-one PARKING SPACE ratio per every guest room. Parking is available starting at $30.00 per night for self-parking and $40.00 per night valet parking. Large vehicle (6ft.4 or taller) valet parking $50.00Valet is currently available 24 hours a day around the clock. 

Does The Galt House Hotel have Wi-Fi?
You can stay connected. The Galt House Hotel offers FREE WI-FI for guests in all rooms and public spaces. 

Does The Galt House Hotel have a pool?

Yes, The Galt House Hotel has an outdoor pool that is open seasonally. The Galt House Hotel, overlooking the river is located on the 3rd Floor of the West Tower.

Does The Galt House Hotel allow pets?
Don’t leave your family behind just because they have fur! The Galt House Hotel is pet-friendly and allows up to two dogs, 45 lbs or less per room, for a fee of $50 per dog. If bringing your pup, you must request to have your room clean and accompany your dog while the room is being cleaned.

Does The Galt House Hotel offer continental breakfast?
Although we do not offer continental breakfast, we offer a full breakfast buffet and menu at WALKER’S EXCHANGE on the 2nd floor of our West Tower.

Does The Galt House Hotel have a hot tub?
No, we do not have a hot tub. Nevertheless, our outdoor pool, open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Take a dip!

Does The Galt House Hotel have a gym?

Our gym is open without masks for guest who are fully vaccinated and only recommended for non vaccinated guests.

How many rooms does The Galt House Hotel have?
We have the largest hotel in Louisville Kentucky. We have 1,310 rooms – 646 standard deluxe rooms, 593 suites, and 71 residences. Every space in The Galt House Hotel, from the guest rooms to the seven restaurants and bars to the 53 meeting rooms. Our hotel room renovations are now complete with the exception of The Residences.

Can I store my luggage at The Galt House Hotel before my check in time or if I arrive early?
You can leave your luggage with us. Please note: We have a limited amount of storage space available in the East Tower for guests.

Do you need a credit card to book a reservation at The Galt House Hotel?
In order to secure your room reservation at The Galt House Hotel, you must use a valid credit or debit card.

How close is 4th Street Live! to The Galt House Hotel?
THE GALT HOUSE HOTEL IS IN THE CENTER OF IT ALL. We’re located within a 10 minute walk (0.4 miles) from Fourth Street Live! Walk about four blocks to see the action.

How close is The Galt House Hotel to the KFC Yum! Center?
We’re so close, guests won’t even have to walk outside for access to the KFC Yum! Center. The Galt House Hotel is next door to the KFC Yum! Center and connected to it via Skywalk (pedway).

How close is The Galt House Hotel to Churchill Downs?
The Galt House Hotel is 4.7 miles (15 min drive) from Churchill Downs Racetrack.

How close is The Galt House Hotel to the Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF)?
CONVENIENT TO AND FROM THE AIRPORT, The Galt House Hotel is 6.3 miles (15 minute drive) from the Louisville International Airport (SDF).

Does The Galt House Hotel offer airport transportation or shuttle service?
While our hotel does not offer shuttle service, our property is easily accessible by rideshares, taxis, Uber and Lyft.

Does The Galt House Hotel have any on-property restaurants?
Yes, THE GALT HOUSE HOTEL WILL HAS SEVEN ON-PROPERTY RESTAURANTS AND BARS, including WALKER’S EXCHANGEJOCKEY SILKS BOURBON BAR, and SWIZZLE DINNER & DRINKS.

Does The Galt House Hotel have a café?
The Galt House Hotel is a foodie destination for guests and locals. The Galt House Hotel has several ON-SITE RESTAURANTS, including
THELMA’S DELI.

Is smoking allowed at The Galt House Hotel?
The Galt House Hotel is a non-smoking property. A $250.00 smoking fee will be added to any guests found in violation of our no smoking policy. 

Are laundry services available at The Galt House Hotel?
Yes, WE OFFER A LARGE RANGE OF SERVICES AND AMENITIES. Laundry and dry-cleaning services are available for a fee.

Is The Galt House Hotel handicap friendly?
Yes, The Galt House Hotel is an accessible facility with ADA-COMPLIANT ROOMS available upon request. Also available are transferable benches, roll-in showers, and TDD kits. Please let us know we can accommodate you.
